As a lot of us know, Gerald is a sucker for good Washington wine, and this is without a doubt one that we all at Buon Vino can agree, is one of the greats. Betz winery celebrated their first vintage in 1997, But the Betz family has a long 28 year history of working in wine.

We are excited to announce that we will have a special guest from the winery to present these wines; the Vice President David Ward!

Davidcaught the wine bug while working his way through various restaurant positionsduring college, and he has been in the business ever since. Withhistorical responsibilities ranging from Sales Representative to Director ofTraining and Education to National Accounts Manager (and a few in between),David’s career in the wine business started at Glazer’s approximately 25 yearsago. He spent 15 years with Kobrand prior to his current role as VicePresident of National and International Sales at Betz Family Winery. David has received multiple industry certifications, including CSW, WSET III,CSS, WSET level I Sake, and his Introductory Sommelier Certificate. Hehas also been an Adjunct Professor at UNT’s College of Hospitality and frequentguest lecturer at Dallas College El Centro, The Art Institute of DallasCulinary Arts program, and several Central Market Cooking Schoollocations. One of David’s main philosophies regarding wine isdemystifying the experience for those just beginning their wine journey whilealso making it fun and educational for everyone of all interest and knowledgelevels.

This tasting will Feature 5 wines, and per usual be accompanied with charcuterie, and starting at 6:00 PM.
