The ability to taste the wine opens a window of knowledge and experience. When you get to hear and learn from the winemakers themselves, it raises the experience to another level. Here at Buon Vino our tastings feature winemakers, winery owners and founders, and master sommeliers. We pack in as much knowledge as we can and we bring it right from the source of the wine’s creator. There is nothing better than to hear how history, trial and error, and chance have shaped the wines we have grown to love. To kick off the New Year, we have a very special guest joining us to tell his families story: Mark McWilliams, owner of this young but mighty winery!

"In 2002, the McWilliams family founded Arista Winery with a vision to create exceptional, terroir-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley. With a commitment to quality over quantity, they have developed a unique collection of grand-cru level vineyard sites that showcase the distinct characteristics of the region. Under the expert guidance of Winemaker Matt Courtney, the winery produces small-lot wines that have become benchmarks for the appellation".

The passion can be felt in each glass, and truly showcases why Russian River Valley is synonymous with cellar worthy Pinots and Chardonnays. Mark and I have cherry picked some of our favorite expressions available, and we can't wait to share a glass with each of you!
