Here at Buon Vino our tastings feature winemakers, winery owners and founders, and master sommeliers. We pack in as much knowledge as we can and we bring it right from the source of the wine’s creator. There is nothing better than to hear how history, trial and error, and chance have shaped the wines we have grown to love. Ridge Vineyards Fall Release Wine Tasting

We will be guided by POPPI MONROE – Regional Sales Manager, Central United States

Poppi Monroe joined Ridge Vineyards in 2021 as our Central Regional Manager. Upon her retirement from a career in film and television, Poppi opened a wine bar in downtown Los Angeles. Upon its closing, she was recruited by a fine wine broker and eventually the largest distributor in Los Angeles. It wasn’t long before Napa Valley came calling and in 2015 she left the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles for life in Oakland. She earned her stripes running multiple wineries in Northern California and was offered another opportunity to move to Texas and learn how to run a larger territory. Her experience there made the transition to Ridge Vineyards seamless.

Truchard Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard and grown exceptional grapes for nearly 50 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they helped pioneer grape growing in the Carneros region of Napa. In 1989, the Truchards established a winery and began producing wines using only their estate-grown fruit.
