Here at Buon Vino our tastings feature winemakers, winery owners and founders, and master sommeliers. We pack in as much knowledge as we can and we bring it right from the source of the wine’s creator. There is nothing better than to hear how history, trial and error, and chance have shaped the wines we have grown to love. We are so excited for the opportunity to host someone who's own work and family for over 50 years has created one of the finest sparkling wine houses in California: Hugh Davies of Schramsberg!

Family owned and operated for over fifty years, Schramsberg Vineyards was established in 1965 by Jack and Jamie Davies who set out to make world-class, vintage-dated sparkling wine in the true méthode traditionelle style on the property originally established in 1862.

Join us and Hugh for a truly memorable evening of exploring his historical bubbles, including some of the incredible reds that are sure to astound!

We will be hosting Hugh Davies here at Buon Vino on Tuesday, October 7th, at 6:00 P.M., and I hope you all can make it!

Palmaz Vertical Wine Tasting

We are so excited to host a very special winery that is producing wines of incredible quality: Palmaz Vineyards! This is a small production, though young in age, that is taking the estates fruit, honoring the tradition of the past in Napa, while bringing a modern touch, creating what all astounding wines have in common: Balance.

To guide us through these very collectible wines, we will have Steven Venegas, the Regional Sales Manager for Palmaz Vineyards, representing these wines in 13 states. With 20 years of hospitality experience, Steven brings the knowledge and know how to help us explore these great wines, and most importantly, make it FUN! He has also given us a great opportunity to see how their flagship ages and improves over time, so we will be doing a vertical which is always an incredible opportunity!

These are extremely small production wines, and are mainly sold direct to consumer via their membership, so don't miss your opportunity to get them in your cellar!

It is finally time to showcase everything that we have learned throughout the Blind Tasting seminars. That's right, its time for the annual Blind Tasting Competition! This year we are upping the stakes with all of the new things that we have learned, and will now be tasting 3 wines instead of 2! The sheets will have all things listed in terms of options, (low med (+), all of it!) and fill in the blank.
