SHIPPING POLICY
As part of our service we provide the opportunity to ship wine at an added cost, to specific states within the United States. Our process utilizes the UPS Ground shipping, 2nd Day and Next Day Air services. Each package is insured for the price of your wine order and packed in styrofoam or pulp shipping containers designed to ensure safe delivery. We take special care of what matters. We use only the best shipping materials when it comes to wine. We maker sure the bottles are secure in their shipping trays and then sealed firmly in our shipping boxes. We have never had any wine damaged due to improper packing regardless of number of bottles or distance. And we won’t start anytime soon.
States We Cannot Ship To:
We have the privilege of shipping to most states in our great country, however there are a few that have made it difficult over the years to get alcohol into their territory. We CANNOT SHIP to Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Mississippi, Nebraska, Utah, Wisconsin.
HOT WEATHER SHIPPING
During the hot season here in Texas we take special notice of the weather. Heat can ruin wine within minutes and the last thing we want is to put our customers through a hassle dealing with spoiled wine. To secure wine from the outside elements we have created new shipping packaging that will ensure your wine arrives in perfect condition.
Shipping June through September:
We encourage all of orders that require shipping to use 2nd Day or 1 Next Day Air for any shipping needs from June through September. These are our hot weather months and they can be unforgiving to wine. We insert frozen gel packs along with an environmentally friendly incasing of insulation and a thermo shield to help secure your wine order from over heating.
4 Layers of Protection
Our first layer of protection is our biodegradable wine pack shippers They protect your wine collection from extreme temperature swings, and go with a natural biobased protective insulated packaging material that is good for the environment. Our two-piece insulated wine shipper takes up little space compared to molded EPS foam and doesn’t carry the environmental and disposal hazards associated with EPS after you’ve unpacked your wine. Nature-Packs wine and champagne shippers are the proven choice when it comes to ecologically sustainable packaging.
Our second layer of protection is our is our Thermal Shield® box liner. Foil is used in many ways to maintain and preserve freshness and act as a barrier. But its main use is to reflect and reduce energy consumption. Thermal Shield® is built to fight the three basic modes of heat transfer: Conductive, Radiant, and Convective.
The third layer of protection is our shipping pulp. We have shipped thousands of packages using these impact resistant wine pulp trays to keep wine bottles from breaking. They also serve as the first layer to help keep high temperatures from contacting the bottles.
The fourth layer of protection is our frozen gel packs. These packs are inserted on top of the pulp to keep the wine bottles and pulp from getting wet due to condensation. These gel packs are designed to keep temperatures below 80° F for up to 2 days.
