The Premier Cru vineyard Vignes Franches is north of the Clos des Mouches, and is considered the most structured of his 1er wines. This wine is 100% Pinot Noir with aromas and flavors of blackberries and cherries, accompanied by heaps of potting soil, mushroom, pepper and fennel. 

“15 barrels this year. Medium purple in color. There is a lovely weight of fruit, in quite a different style from his Volnays, with a slightly darker fruit. It is generous on the palate, with dark raspberry notes, and good length. Seamless tannins again."  Jasper Morris
