Deep and Shiny red. An explosive nose of strawberries and raspberries melted. A touch of pink pepper exalts aromas. The mouth is open on very fresh energy carried on by a discreet acidity. Silkiness is present, but in its youngest stage and few years will help tannins already supple to express more richness.

96 points	This Pinot Noir is from a unique plot in the Chehalem Mountains appellation in the Valley's north end. The dry-farmed, biodynamic site is one of the oldest plantings of Pinot Noir in the Willamette, having been planted by Dick Erath. The aromatics perfectly combine smoky violets, earth-driven umami and gorgeous red bramble berries. The palate shows these old vines' character with a depth and complexity framed by notes of turned earth, pine bough and forest floor. There is ample fresh fruit here, as blood orange and red berries are evocative of Burgundy. Beautiful.

93 points	A gorgeous burst of violet, lavender and spice gives way to wild blueberries and dusty roses as 2022 Pinot Noir blossoms in the glass. It’s plush and enveloping with a balancing core of tart wild berries, all guided by brisk acidity as an air of cola and hints of tangerine add contrast toward the close. The 2022 finishes long and staining, only gently tannic, with a chalky mineral tinge and rosy inner florals that resonate. This remarkably pretty Pinot is so giving and fresh yet possesses a balancing tension. It’s a pleasure to taste.
