From the extreme coastal region of the Sta. Rita Hills AVA, this Pinot Noir shines with aromas of crushed raspberries, roses and root beer. Supremely balanced and lifted with fresh acidity, it also provides richness and texture on the palette. The 2022 vintage’s tannins are plush, smooth and balanced by vibrant acidity. A mix of limestone and marine-based soils, added to the extreme proximity of the Pacific Ocean’s cooling air through fog and wind makes the Sta. Rita Hills one of the most unique and compelling appellations for growing Pinot Noir in all of California. Grapes were harvested in the early morning to ensure the fruit’s cool temperature. We cold soak the berries to draw color and develop flavors while elevating structure.
