For this tasting, we’ll place a particular emphasis on Portugal, exploring a country whose wine traditions stretch back centuries and whose modern wines are garnering increasing attention around the world.

Among the featured producers will be Casa Ferreirinha, one of Portugal’s most historic and prestigious names. Best known for its connection to the Douro Valley and the legendary Barca-Velha, Casa Ferreirinha represents the depth of quality and tradition that makes Portuguese wine so compelling.

Leading us through the tasting will be Blanche Orbe, Director of Prestige Wines at Evaton.

Blanche has spent more than 25 years in the wine industry, including the last 15 years specializing in Portuguese wines and Port. Her career has given her an extraordinary perspective on Portugal's diverse wine regions, producers, and traditions, and she is passionate about introducing American wine lovers to the breadth and excitement of Portuguese wine.

Known for her approachable expertise and engaging storytelling, Blanche brings Portugal to life in the glass—connecting the wines we taste with the people, places, and history behind them.
