Truly distinctive SB produced from a medley of clones, with Musque featured prominently, farmed from a beautiful vineyard farmed by the Mauritson family for decades. Aromatics are stunning with notes of orange blossom, passion fruit and lemon meringue that carry through to the palate. Haut Brion barrels and all the bells and whistles. Phenomenal. 420 cases made.
2021 The Setting Chardonnay, Chehalem Mountain Vineyard $59.99
Stunning aromatics of white peach, apricot, lemon curd, marzipan and citrus blossom. On the palate it has an incredible purity and brightness with pear, white grapefruit, star fruit, quince paste, and minerality that leaves a long bright finish to this stunning wine. 380 cases produced. The historic Chehalem Mountain Vineyard was planted in 1968 by Dick Erath, who founded Erath Winery in the Dundee Hills and was an early Oregon Pinot Noir grower. This is one of the most esteemed and historic vineyard sites in the region.

Located within the Chehalem Mountains appellation – home to some of the oldest vineyards planted in Willamette Valley. Sitting at about 500 ft. elevation nestled within the Ribbon Ridge and Laurelwood appellations, the diverse composition of soils and climate create distinctive, complex wines with a true sense of place. We have named this wine our “Cabernet lover’s Pinot Noir” as it expresses bold flavors of ripe blackberries, bing cherries and a touch of spice. Vibrant and well-balanced, this wine showcases a purity of fruit and well-integrated tannins with a long, graceful finish. It’s very approachable in its youth but has the potential to develop further complexity with a few years of aging.
